I lived for fishing...offshore fishing. Now, the gov't is making it harder and harder to actually keep fish so I figured I'd take up farming

Well, that and we had 100 acres with just pine trees growing on it.

Anyways, here are some pics from past adventures. A normal trip is 50+ miles offshore and some of those were 80+ spending the night out in the Gulf Stream drifting for swordfish. That was always a blast until lightning started to pop nearby.

here goes...

schoolsout Do you know if that blue boat in the background of the slay ride at the dock is the budman?

It's not. As far as I know, Bud Man is somewhere down in the tropics. Last I heard, it was Panama, but that was a year or so ago. A good buddy that knows and fishes with them comes by my office a good bit. He's always got a good story to tell. I think the owners were here eating lunch a few months ago, as well.

These pics are from Panama City (Pacific side) my buddy shot on his way to fish Cali, Alaska and then on to Fiji.

Schoolsout Just wondering I helped build her. Its hard to get the salt out of the veins mated offshore growing up.

It's a **** nice ride
Did you help with Ultra, by chance? Bud Man and Ultra (both beer distributors in the state) battle it out by outdoing each other by a foot or three every few years. Must be nice...

No I didnt but I know the boat. Its a good problem to have an extra foot or three. You wouldnt belive the last few boats talk about raising the bar 73' & 80'. When your side to running in 8' and its blowing 25 and every one else is getting their &%# handed to them and your cooking on the grill on the ride in

SlayRide is a 36' Bertram and I think that's big....I've been on a few of the larger boats a handful of times, but I could never imagine cruising out in an 80' that probably cruises mid-30s burning 80+ gph
the boats coming out of NC these days are insane, to say the least.

What did you do, exactly? I've always been fascinated with boat building and almost started a stitch/glue flats boat (Phantom 16)
