Bear damaged sweet corn? (pic)

When I used to live in northern Minnesota I had a chance to see a lot of corn fields damaged by bears. Most of what I saw they would drag the whole stalk back into the woods and eat the corn there. There would be hundreds of stalks right on the trails going back into the woods. They can definitely do a lot of damage.

I still would not count out coons in your corn patch. I have had them hit the corn in the past and it looked like a major tornado had hit the place / patch.
