Be careful with chainsaws, invest use chaps

Use the wrap around chaps, had a saw grab a pair one time and before the saw bogged down in the kevlar it spun the chap around my leg and got a little bite. I never crank a saw unless I have my chaps on, chainsaw always wins against flesh.

I went right down to the bone on my left leg a couple a years back and stupid me never blamed it on anything other then me not having the right boots on. I am thinking about correcting that and finding a pair to try and see if you can move in them. My mind always told me i would not be able to feel right with them but then again it is hard to get out of the way with only one leg.

A chainsaw is a wicked rabid stupid dangerous machine. Any PPE available should be worn every time a saw is running. Chaps, heavy denim, chain mail, kevlar, face gear, you name it. I dropped a bundle at a medeval shop recently to get some tight chainmail chaps made to go under the chainsaw chaps that are commercially available. I dont want my buddies calling me "stubby" or "lefty" and I dont like to bleed. Be safe guys.
