Can you run the bush hog under heavy load on level ground for an extended time?

Level ground?? What's that? Not under load with the bush hog. I did run the chipper for about an hour, somewhat of a load, no problems. could be the float, but it seems to be floating free and not able to move side to side.

Can relate. We are in Avery Co, NC with not much level...

Think I fixed the fuel problem on the Briggs.... Replaced it with a 13 HP Honda. Was spending too much time trying to fix, not enough working. Figured I could end up spending almost as much as a new motor, so I called Joel. Sent them the clutch and adapter plate, they installed it on the new motor, had it back in a week. install was easy, took longer to unpack everything than it did to hook it up. Now waiting for things to dry out so I can dig potatoes.

Sounds like a good fix. Now you could either sell the Briggs or use it for a stationary machine.

Ground clearance appears to be about the same. Measured both engines are the same length and are very close in height from center of shaft to the bottom. Been too much rain to really test it out.
