Battery terminal problem

The last battery mess I cleaned was on my BSC 2 wheel tractor a few weeks ago. I cleaned all the metal with baking soda paste, and repainted some of the brackets and supports. Then after attaching the cables I finished by spraying it with a coat of Fluid Film. That's the first time I tried FF, and if worked well oozing into all the nooks and crannies before setting up like honey.

Fantastic suggestions. Like was mentioned before, I couldn't believe just a little bit of "crust" could keep it from turning over.

I learn something new everyday...and I guess that's one reason I love to get lots of seat time.
