Just wondering - does the remainder of the vehicle exhibit this level of maintenance.

A good cleaning and add something like the NOCO NCP2 MC303 Oil-Based Battery Terminal Protectors and you should be good to go. Don't have to use this brand but I do like the protection the NOCO offers. I bought the 50 count container of these and added to all my vehicles - been a few years and no issues. Have plenty left - if you won't across the pond - I'd give you two for your tractor. Will be installing on my MFGC soon when I get the tender lead and do it all at the same time.

That is caused by a leaking battery. Just replace the battery and cables and move on.

Usually leaking fumes, corroding any bare metal in the area. Fixing the cause is as important as fixing the symptoms. A poorly, partially charged battery has been the cause when mine looked like this. Clean all cables to insure a proper battery charge, and use a maintainer to keep it topped off and healthy. A new battery might be needed too.

Nah it ain't too bad actaully greasing could do with being more regular.
It a proper filter service and its life blood renewed.
Some auxiliary lights need fixing, the depth guage on the loader needs replacing.

But it's a pretty sturdy basic tractor with just enough tech Todo what we need.
Remote valves would have been nice. But hey

Cheers pal, I'll look into it.
So many things we have need servicing and updating plus bit we add for them to survive the so called changing circumstances.

All worth it In the end we had very basic Massey 365? Possibly a cab which had rotted through and kinda vintage. Good upgrade and we've started doing more jobs than we ever had done with the Massey.

Clean battery cables and terminals with baking soda to neutralize acids and polish contact surfaces with scotch bright pads and/or small stainless wire brush and coat all exposed metal surfaces of cable and terminal with corrosive preventive grease....Ever take clamp bolts out and clean threads and coat thoroughly...

I use this on all my connections after extensive cleaning and do not have corrosion issues...Have been know to do brand new vehicles when brought home from dealer and 8 years later when replacing battery, NO COROSION....
