I added second batteries (deep cycle) to both SxS Polaris UTV's I had. And I kept them on Battery Tenders. One had a winch so the stock battery had no chance of staying charged.
My new Mule SX has the smallest battery I have ever seen on a UTV but so far so good. It is constantly hooked up to a Battery Tender when sitting idle. I will likely add a deep cycle battery to it when the OEM battery craps out.
