Battery for Farm Pro 8240

Been a while since I've posted. 3 years now since buying the 8240 and the tractor runs perfectly! The only "gripe" I have so far is the rust that has developed on some of the components. Not a real serious problem because I coat it with the rust proofing catalyzing (is that a real term ) spray an the problem is solved.

But I have run into a bit of a problem. I have to change the battery and I haven't had much success finding a replacement for the Chinese original. Any suggestions?

Go to a real battery store, not a auto parts store. Not sure if you have one in your part of the world but I found out by looking in the phone book that I had two in my area, one is just a few miles away. You will probably have to take the battery to them since there is no cross reference for our tractors.

I recommend the Interstate Type 93. But you may have to change the battery end lugs on your positive and negative cables. Or - what I did - was to buy marine post adapters. No modifications required that way.

I see a NAPA 7237 and Battery Terminals NAPA 22104 are listed from a local dealer as replacement. I'm going to replace my wires someday. As copper is better then the Aluminum that they come with.
