Battery code for 6000s....

Hey folks, I'm going to have to spring for a new battery for my 6000 this winter (I should have done it already, but its still a few down on my procrastination list). Since the manuals don't identify the code #/CCAs, does anyone out there thats changed one out remember what it is/was??? Thanks in Advance! BobG in VA

bob on my 4110 i put a group 27 battery. the NAPA # is 8427 i hope this helps

Hey, thanks for the reply. I actually went back on the "search" function and found that Slippy (I think) had bought one for a 6000 a couple of years ago. I believe its an Exide 31 HP or a D or E model. I'll let everyone know once mine fails....BobG in VA

could be gp 31's are very close to 27's but 31 is very common on mid size trucks. you will have to know your terminal type, reg post,stud post,or marine style. also more $$ 39.95 doesn't cut it
