My Starlink has been working fine. SpaceX will be offering cellphone to satellite service soon as well since testing and it works.

Wonder how many lives will be saved having the ability to make an emergency call where there used to be no cell service.

Glad our astronauts can ride on an American designed and built rocket to the Space station. It doesn't hurt that the US Space program is also saving money on every seat versus buying seats on a Russian rocket.

EV maker Rivian unveils smaller, less expensive SUVs, crossovers​

LAGUNA BEACH, California (Reuters) -Rivian on Thursday unveiled its smaller and less expensive "R2" SUVs and "R3" crossovers amid a slowdown in demand for EVs and also said it would start producing the R2 at its existing facility in Illinois to ensure deliveries in 2026.

Rivian shares were up 10% at $12.16 on Thursday afternoon.

The R2, with a starting price of $45,000, well below the company's flagship R1 SUVs and pickups, is seen as critical to Rivian's success. High interest rates have led to a sharp slowdown in demand for EVs, which are typically more pricey than gasoline-powered cars.

Rivian had previously planned to produce the R2 at a yet-to-be-constructed $5 billion plant in Georgia but some analysts have questioned the need for building the factory amid slowing demand for EVs.

This is true, I think Tesla had more backers. Rivian lost support from Ford and Amazon isn't buying as much as they said they would at one time. Hoping they can secure enough funding to stay afloat for the sake of employees here in Illinois. They sure make an ugly vehicle with those vertical headlights though! IMO. It's not a good time to be an EV startup.

Wow they screwed up that video and that guy is a whiner.

His lease runs out in 2025 on that Y that is WHEN it will be returned.

He likes it well enough to let his Mom drive the Y till then.

Maybe he could not afford the lease?

I agree with most of the comments under the video:

"He talks like your typical spoiled youtuber who wants the greatest and latest thing and using this as an excuse for content. Most of his points are not valid. Full self driving is an option. You dont need to buy it."

Don't trust these experts. EVs are the future and Teslas are nearly perfect. The ICE death spiral must happen because that is god's will. (Musk is god in case you haven't got the memo.)

It is irrelevant if people are clinging to ICE the way "Deplorables" cling to Bibles and guns. Who cares what people in fly over country think? They are dumb and ignorant hillbillies. If they had any brains and were educated, they would live in cities and buy food like normal people. We don't need rural people farming and slaughtering innocent animals when everything we eat comes from Wally World, Kroger and Publix.

Make tons of money and save your children and grandchildren. Buy stock in EV companies and buy only EVs. God's will, will be done.
