Like that one......unfortunately all my rigs are white
I use about 12 KW per day of power. It would power mine for days. However I make my own power so I know how precious it is and don’t take it for granted. it is absolutely doable but yes attitudes and home efficiency would need to change tremendously. But their figures thay show you can run a house for 3 days is pure bs. I install generators for a living and know just how far 100 kw go in the average home.
and with some cities mandating fully electric homes.....maybe it will power house for a few hours. Then you in the dark with a dead car battery.
Yeah, just as the municipality pays for the police cars, they'd pay for the chargers. That's a fact. However, if by some means, the municipality could purchase EV cop cars, chargers, etc... and save the public money on reduced maintenance and reduced fuel usage, then it's a win. If it costs more, it's not. Put it to the bean counters and see if it pays.
They'd also have to figure out how to meter the chargers at the homes to pay for the electricity.
What do you live in. .... a shoe box. Thats like 500 watts per hour. A refrigerator takes more than that. Are you solar?I use about 12 KW per day of power. It would power mine for days. I get a kick out of the old Andy Griffith shows where Andy, his girlfriend, Barnie and Thema Lou would pile into the Ford squad car to go to a dance or something. That is unlikely these days.If police get to take company cars home and use for personal business, is the value included on W2’s like private businesses?

There are many AC refrigerators these days pull around 1.2 kw per day. You just have to look for them. Energy star.gov.What do you live in. .... a shoe box. Thats like 500 watts per hour. A refrigerator takes more than that. Are you solar?
I had a lying, skunk smelling piece of carp BIL that was never on call, yet he took a patrol car home every day for years.Personal business? Elaborate please. Do you know if they are on call?
