Thanks guys, I consider the Coors Light an interim celebration. I'll have a proper christening when it's all done.

Haz, the crib looks fantastic! And should last forever with all that serious wood.

The latest installment...

First pic pretty much sums up the day's work on the project. Got the backsplash in around the sink and got the sink in with both fresh water and drain connections complete. That was a three-tripper to the big box! I drilled the holes and my oldest son (12) installed the knobs. All that's left is wrapping the poles and trim paint.

The second picture shows my proper celebration of the achievement. Also shows much better color as I set the white balance in the camera more precisely.

I did manage to get out today and push back the snow banks and freshen up the driveway. Sadly though, no pictures of those efforts.

Hi Rob,
Real nice job on all your formica work ! I also like your selection on color also.

BTW, that martini has my name written all over it ;) :)

Rob, every time you have a martini, pause for a second and think of the hard working olive farmers who are growing those olives for you to enjoy :)

OK, final update to this rather aged thread. The basement project is complete... almost. All I have left to do is swap the sump pump for a sewage pump with a sealed pit-lid and put up a few more pieces of trim and trim paint in the shop. Unless there is overwhelming demand to see those details, I'll consider this it.

Only two pics, a dog's eye view of the bathroom (to keep me out of the mirror) and a shot of the entire bar/nook area. For the photo geeks out there, I am enjoying a fairly recently acquired wide angle lens and a two flash setup thanks to a Christmas gift certificate from the kids.

And yes, that is a proper celebratory drink on the bar!!!

Afternoon Rob,
Wow that came out super !!!

BTW I love the selection for bathroom lighting, they could double as large martini glasses !!! ;) :)

Thanks guys, I'm pretty happy with it all. And Scotty, I hadn't even thought of those lights as martini glasses but you are right on. Must have been a subconscious decision on my part. Now to get some of Rox's olives...
