Lowes rents a drain inspection camera and they also rent drain augers. You do need a 3” pipe to fit the drain camera.

Hello all,

I’m having an issue with the drain in my basement. Recently, I've noticed water pooling around it, especially after heavy rain.

I’m guessing it’s either clogged or there’s a backup in the line. I’ve tried snaking it, but it doesn’t seem to fully clear the blockage.

Has anyone experienced something similar?

Should I look into a professional drain inspection, or are there effective DIY methods I could try first?

Any tips on preventing this from happening in the future, or recommendations from sewer & drain repair Atlanta, would be much appreciated!
Hello. Our basement floor drain (about 25 years old) does not drain. I would like to use a snake on it but don't know how to access it. The cast iron drain is about 7 inches across and has a ball in the center that floats up to close it off. To one side there is a well rusted screw in plug with a one inch square head. I don't really know what I am looking at. Any advise would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
