Tractor
Branson 4225h, Mahindra 2516, several Toro Wheel Horse 522xi machines.
I'm very close on a Branson 4225h buy.

Just read the warranty.

Not covered: Engine fuel injection system pump, injectors, fuel lines.

Are the above components likely bullet-proof and I need not worry about this lack of coverage?

Also, the Branson Emissions Warranty appears to be only 2 years. Other brands I've considered have 5 year (Massey), 6 year (Kioti), 7 year (Mahindra) warranties.

The above matters are causing me more than a little Eleventh Hour concern.

Thoughts, comments please.

Branson Warranty short cuts?

If I am reading the new Branson Tractor Warranty correctly:

- No coverage for engine fuel injection pump, injectors, fuel lines.

- Only 2 year Emissions Coverage. Other brands I've considered, Massey (5 years), Kioti (6 years), Mahindra (7 years) emission warranties.

The above is causing me some eleventh hour concern as I'm very close to buying a Branson 4225h.

Your wisdom / comments would be appreciated.

I thought it was a 2 year bumper to bumper and a 4 year power train.
And I recalled seeing this not sure if it is correct or what is;

Branson Tractors Offers New Extended Powertrain Warranty
January 17, 2017 | Posted in Manufacturer News

Branson Tractors recently issued a new extended warranty plan for several of its models, effective Jan 1. Its 7-year limited powertrain warranty is applied to the 00, 15, 20 and all-new 25 series line of tractors. The standard warranty is 4 years, but customers have the option to extend the warranty for a nominal sum, which will vary by tractor model, but will likely be less than $1,000, according to a dealer source.

The warranty will only be available at the time of retail sale and the 5-7 years of the powertrain coverage will be non-transferrable. Warranty service can only be performed at an authorized Branson dealer.

One dealer notes, “Branson dealers will likely go ahead and build it into the price on all of their machines as it is really a bargain, but offer customers the ability to negotiate it out of the deal.” The warranty is part of Branson's initiatives to compete with Mahindra’s new longer warranty plan, according to a dealer source.

The most recent warranty states 2 year bumper to bumper, 6 years power train. No extra charge for the 6 year coverage. My dealer states no more 7 year program.

Emission system only 2 years. (I'm going nuts over this DPF set-up. Some owners no problems. Other owners, all kinds of problems) Darn!

Also, NO coverage on fuel injection pump, injectors, fuel lines.

Re: Branson Warranty short cuts?

That doesn't sound right. I don't see it on the website. Do you have a link to it? What does your dealer say?

Do you mean just the two year bumper to bumper for the pump and injection.?

Re: Branson Warranty short cuts?

Dealer states 2 years EXCEPT California which is 5 years.

I'll see if I can link.

I thought I'd be a buyer tomorrow, money already financed. This DPF emission set-up with only 2 years coverage is causing me real concern.

People who have problems talk (post) about them. People who haven't don't talk so much about it. I see that for cars and motorcycles. A few people here have had problems with their Branson DPF. The rest of us haven't. If your useage is going to be nothing but loader work for 10 minutes at a time, or you let it idle a lot, you may have problems. Run it hard periodically and it will be fine.

The good thing is that unlike all the other tractors, if it is a problem with the DPF (and you're out of the warranty) you can just repace it with a muffler. There's no ECU to hack or fool to get that to work. I'd be bummed if I had to do that with mine because I like the clean exhaust.

Merged the two threads together, as they are identical. Easier to follow one thread. There's a redirect in the branson forums to this thread, so nothing will be missed. Please continue the discussion.
