Hinomoto E2804, Hinomoto N239,
I was just cruising through the TBN Classifieds and saw a repossessed 2005 ZEN NOH YM2500. Even the banks don't know what they're financing.

Thats a perfectly valid name. ZEN NOH is a co-op name for a tractor. You will find ZenNoh that are yanmars, kubota's and others.

Kind of like sears craftman tractor. The craftman's are built by who ever sears contracts with for that model year.

It's NOT the name that is in question.....there is no 2005 model year YM2500, whether labeled Yanmar or Zennoh.

So how much does the bank think a 2005 Yanmar is worth? Maybe the paint and tires were new in 2005.

A 2005 ZenNoh YM2500????? That is very, very misleading in my book.........

You know, I wonder if this could hurt the importing of 'gray market' tractors???? I wonder if the banks got word that some Yanmars, depending on seller, are misleading and they would stop financing the gray market ones???? Then I guess the only way you could still buy it would be either cash or a signature/personal loan.

Is it any more misleading than an established dealer advertising a 1980 YM1500, a 1980 YM2000, a 1980 YM2500 and a 1980 YM2210? Two years off or twenty-eight or so, it's misrepresentation either way. While there may be some fuzzy edges around some dates, I think it has been fairly well established that 2210s stopped in 78, 2000s in 78 and 1500s in 78 or 79. I've never seen any documentation of any of those models being made in 1980 or later, but I suspect the reasoning is that 1980 moves things up an entire decade. Nonetheless, there has always been, and remains, a portion of this market that plays it very loose with the facts.
