I am looking for a more reasonable price for the banjo hydraulic fittings that fit the early 60 models 2,3,4000 tractors. $47 dollars each at local dealer. These fittings went on the remote valve and had the flow through bolt and the fitting could be positoned any direction. The fitting would then let you connect directly to NPT. I only need the fitting, not the bolt. Ford part # I was given was 311891. THANKS

Did you check your CNH dealer? I have gotten them from mine. IE.. the banjo fitting that goes to female pipe thread. I don't recall them being 50$ each there..

FWIW, I have used 3/8 ord fittings in those valves too.. some of them are tapped for orb.. YMMV.

The Ford/New Holland dealer is where I got the price. I think that is way to high for what I think is a very simple machined fitting.

They used to use them on English cars. Try an auto parts store.

I might try another dealer to see if the first dealer I checked with was trying to put it to me. If I get a quote of the same price or cheaper, I will know.

Soundguy,

Have you seen doubling up two banjo fitting along with a longer banjo bolt tying them both together. Reason I am asking is , if a guy can use it to make a hyd remote using it and some 3/8 hose wit quick connect fitting. On my 1700 connection can be upstream of main pressure relief as well.

JC,

ps. Sorry if I'm hijacking this thread a bit. I thought it might be a valid question to ask.

The discharge line going to lift spool valve and relief device. The square head bolt opens up to the rear diffy so it can be used as return.
what do you think? I have a hard time finding aux hyd block .

hmm.. I guess anything is possible. using the copepr crush washers. as for the hollow bolt.. I guess you could drill your own.. etc.

might be less trouble to break the hard line though.. all depends on what your braze/welding/fabrication skills are though..

As soon I asked I Google the subject a bit and below is what I found. i can cut the discharge pipe off and put a compression tee in there but hate to modify something that I can't reverse. Hyd block the best way to go. look at the link below.
