Without seeing this in person what do you think about a 466 john deere? It's definitely in my price range. I could make a trip to see my dad and go look at it.

Absolutely sorriest baler I ever owned was a JD 466 with Mega-wide pickup attachment that I purchased NEW. After several 1000 bales the crankshaft under pickup attachment got worn enough that it was impossible to keep feeder fingers in place. Luckily I never found lost feeder fingers imbedded in a rear tractor tire. I think later style much improved Mega-wide pickup attachment from 467 up could be installed on a 466.
