Baler is making a good knot but on one side the knot comes off the billhook leaving no twine on the twine disc and the twine then follows the bale out of the chamber and onto the ground leaving a long line of twine that is attached to the bale to the baler.

Sounds like a tension problem with the hook. Personally I would take the manual and go through the entire knotter, set ALL of the settings SPOT ON and you will be able to do several thousand in a row without a miss. They are very finicky and need to be adjusted PERFECT for trouble free operation. Once the specs drift you will be chasing problems all over the place until you reset it.

Thanks so much, When you said tension problem I followed the twine to the needles and found a loose porcelain eyelet just before the needles. I tightened it and now the knotter works fine. I'm thinking that every time needles moved the twine to the knotter the porcelain eyelet moved throwing off the mount of twine heading to that knotter off, making it sloppy, causing the problem. Small things like that can drive you crazy... Thanks again and hay away!!!
