Bad Tach on BX2350

Anyone else have a tachometer go out on their Bx2350. The digital readout is unreadable. Took the dash apart to see if there might be a loose wire. No luck the LED is soldered to the board. Called my dealer and they tell me you have to purchase the entire panel assembly which costs just over $200.

Of course the hour meter is out also so I (as much as I hated to ) ordered the new assembly.

Just wondered if any others have had this problem.

Yup, mine started to black out when it got cold outside, and would work when the sun warmed it up. Eventually it got to where it wouldn't work at all. It took some doing, but I finally got my dealer to warranty it just before my 2 year was up. I hope this new one is a good one.

There was a factory recall on those on my 2006 BX-24. It would go blank and get moisture inside it.

When I was looking for a used BX (prior to purchasing my new BX1860) Brady Barlow mentioned that a large number of the BXxx50 series had that issue. Many were replaced.

Something to keep in mind if you are shopping for a used BX in that series as the hour meter could be way off depending on when the panel was replaced and how many hours were on the tractor prior to the panel replacement. In other words, any hours on the original panel would not be represented in the replacement panel hour meter.
