Gordon,

Can't answer your question, however in my limited experience of "seeing" trees pulled, the best thing to do it is a Hough FEL! One of my co-workers has one, the bucket is 11' wide and I believe he said it is 300 and some hp. He moved 4 trees and removed top soil for me last summer prior to my barn being built. Just wrapped chains around the bucket to the trees.

Pulled up some smaller Oak trees like you would pull a weed with your hand! /w3tcompact/icons/cool.gif Also two White Pines that were more mature like they weren't even there! This is one of those huge machines, at least to me, that steers by turning in the middle of the frame. What a beast...and the owner even complimented me on MY choice of tractor, the New Holland TC18!

Good Luck, JimBinMI

Yes an articulated loader would be great but if I ever got the thing stuck I would have to wait until the summer to get the thing out of the mud hole. Did he pick up your little blue with that monster of a bucket????? That would be quite some picture./w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

I sure would love to have a 4 in one someday. That gauge is really coming in handy, more power at less pressure thats something to think on.
