It's all in the grip and the wrist. The funniest thing about the Air Force was basic. We had a paved sidewalk around the obstacle course. :laughing: I saw the firing range once or maybe twice but I think it was only once. It was a long time ago .

I didn't, they're jar heads, everyone knows that. Swabbies are Navy, I thought everyone knew that too. Didn't they teach you puddle pirates anything at Cape May?

I was Regular Army... I spent 9 months on a Navy base eating their food, though. We were flying P2E Neptunes and snuggled up next to them 'cuz they still had P2's, but mostly P3's... They eat good...!!!

What was the army doing with P2s?
The Coast Guard ate pretty well too, Air Force not so much but probably better than Army chow.

They were big enough to haul electronic stuff and a few morse or voice operators around Vietnam [ and possibly over other un-named countries in the region ]... and had a pretty good loiter time. Google ' Army Crazy Cats '....

BTW I think everyone knows we were in Laos and Cambodia by now. They sure as **** were and turnabout is fair play so it's no big secret anymore.

I had some Army types with a U21 out of Bangkok give me a hand hauling me and my crew around SEA a bit. I guess they were hard up for something better to do than hauling the brass around and I much prefered them over Air America.

I may have been a 'ground pounder' for 4 years, but they told me if I could spell 'intelligence' I could be in Military Intelligence, Army Security Agency (ASA), actually in National Security Agency (NSA) so technically I wasn't a ground pounder.

Ground pounder or not, at least when I wore my uniform, you could tell I was in the Army, and I wasn't mistaken for a bus driver or a mailman.
