Way too much going on & happening too fast.
Riley & dog were both out. Riley acted like she wanted help or for me to open the gate. I did neither & soon she was inside & shortly after word by Dog.
The ate & drank then rested up. Before their next escape.
Since they don't really want to be part of the family, I could really care less.
2 Cops were at the house south of me, criminal #1s place. No idea if the found anything or hauled someone off.

The irritation continues.
Riley & dog were gone for most of 4 days. Kid fixed the place they went out. Yesterday they came back in. I'm at the point I don't really care if they ever come back.
Went to dog jail to find a puppy that has not already be spoiled by humans Looked at 2 both about 9 months old.
Female, bah humbug, she was more interested in getting out of the pet meeting area than anything else.
Nice young male, well mannered,& behaved. A Stratford Terrier , Well they are considered to be a pit bull and have to meet your other dog before they can be adopted.
Instead of telling me up front, spent about 2 hours of wasted time.
Think I will wait until Riley & dog don't make it home.
OH well life goes on.

Time for a little fun & BS.
I have seen hawks preform their mating ritual, where they lock claws & helicopter down almost to the ground.
Been here watching the birds for over 12 years.
Within less than a month I have seen the crows perform their ritual. Wing tip to wing tip they preform an aerial Ballet.
Then about 15 feet away 2 doves did theirs. breast the breast the swing their heads back & forth clicking their beaks on the way.
Within an hour 2 quail preformed theirs, same as the doves without the beak clicking.
Why do some dogs turn around in a circle before they lay down?? Bobby will somtimes just turn round & round, other times walk in circle & even run in a small circle now & then.
Some dogs just plop down. ????
Once again this area has become a drop off place for dogs & maybe cats.
They great Danes that have been here, another pair that has a small dog running with them.
Strangest ever was a mother pig & 4 about 1/2 grown piglets.Some people a little over a 1/4 mile from me has them penned up.

I think way way back the dog ancestors used to live in long grass and before they settled for the night teh dog would walk round and round crushing down the grass to make a sort of den for the night

An up date on the not very much going on here.
Work on fence, watch Riley find a new place. Work on fence some more. No digging jumping through fence between hog wire & barb wire. Tighten barb wire & tie it to the hog wire. Watched as Riley walked the fence looking for a new escape place, she found it, a place I had worked on & should have been good enough.
She & dog are out now, when both are in will improve the new escape place. Dog blunders around like a slug. did not think he would be able to jump 4.5 feet. But he leaped up like a rabbit.
Riley actually becoming a fairly well behaved dog when home. her & Bobby have started playing again. Dog still anti social, absolutly no desire to be part of the family. He & Riley are not actually friends, he just follows her along when she goes out.

Have you thought about putting up a strand of hot wire? I know, just something else to fix.
Getting into the hot time of the year. Snakes will be out and about at night. Love to see snakes.. As long as I can spot them from a distance. Afraid if I lived there I would wear out my flashlight going outside after dark lest I walk up on one.
