Some useless rambling-
First some more on critters. Riley, went to drink & put both front feet in pan. Why ???
Quail landed on center rail of the shade frame & checked out the dove nest.
Was feeding the birds & saw a white thing with a round black hole in it. Ir was a complete empty egg shell. Hole looked too small, but nothing inside.

Heard that Marvin's 2 sons are moving to Arkansas. Should people named Smith move close by, best to not get involved with them.

Jewelry pictures. I was told early on don't worry about winning, as a jeweler "Nancy" can't be beat.
Later on when I started doing gold & diamonds & started winning, they were shocked.
Even got a cup for best in show once.

Jim Thanks for the heads up on another Smith moving toward this direction. During the depression almost everybody moved to California for work. those staying here turned to making" moonshine" or also known by several names. same product.
So now every body is named Smith, Jones, Story and the past is seldom questioned unless they start the subject .

Then some of the California family started to return bring with them the habit of smoking left handed cigarettes and being hard to get the product begin to grow there own . Large chicken or turkey houses abandoned after the Con Agra or Pilgrim pride moved out leaving the owners a large debt of building houses to raise the birds so what to do with building 300 feet long and 60 feet wide. has a watering system and large fans with cool cells to keep moist cool air and stand by generator .

And from the looks of news reporters panting in joy that a petition has been passed to put the pot issue on the ballet.
Same time talking about how bad tobacco is for your health and how good this weed is.

Some more on critters.
Huge Cotton tail came through the yard yesterday. At least twice as large the other guys around here.
New Great Dane in the neighborhood. Blond or very light tan. As I was going out a few days ago he came up to the truck< stopped & was going to pet him. Riley, who never met ad she didn't like, came across my lap growling, snarling & barking. Drove off, shoved he away. She sat there looking at him till I turned the corner.
One of the scaly lizards lost about an inch of tail. Not a problem it will grow back , part of their design.
Learned a lot about pack rats, looked them up on the web. Over 50 kinds of them. Also called trade rats ( I knew that.:laughing: )
Old story about them "Guy left out a dime - Next day there were 2 nickles there. :laughing:. Truth is if they see something they like better than what they have they drop it and take the other thing.
Since its gone mice have moved back in. Had a big nest built, threw it out. They will build another.
Bobby girl has lots of raw spots around her tail. Dry skin?? She is digging & licking until raw. Started painting them with Purple. ( BLU-KOTE) She at times hates it, runs in circles in & out of house. Next time no big deal. It does not hurt, just fees cold & or wet. Using it on me, dry itchy skin & it cures the itch, lasts for days. If I took my cloths off, would sure look funny.Cutting this short Neighbor just called has key stuck in door & she can't turn it.
Damm I hat to go any place 101 & furnace like wind.

Jim probably should of not said TBN except my DSL is so slow it auto saves but only what is in the box . so anything else is lost.
I was asking if Tombstone still has the saloon off Main street that had a bird cage hanging from ceiling and ladies would swing and sing .

and hear any talk of pumping some of the mines to get back to silver mining.

As with everything else around here, nothing went like it should.
Key stuck in lock, will not unlock door. Know a old guy that is a lock smith.
He tries other door, bends 2 of his tools. Came back to the first 1, lock is in upside down & he managed to get it unlocked.
Top lock went fairly fast & easy, Now I am really hot close to heat stroke. But cooler on I get better'
Jan goes to market to get some beer, You might say a little slow. Her car has working ac, but passenger door can't be opened.

Take Bob home. its one of those places you can't there from here. He is telling where to turn & it is not the shortest way there. Was there a long time ago & picked him up today. At last home, cold beer & back starting to settle down. Bobby & Riley feel picked on & left out. Just don't know how lucky they are not to go.

OH well got to tour the neighborhood.

Guess summer almost here. 105 today. 7 Day for cast more of the same. Gets down to about 68 in early am & within a few minutes its over 70 & going up fast.

I should never underestimate the power of the sun high heat.
Bought a few things the other day. Including a bottle of wine. Left in the bed of truck, blue the lid off & emptied the bottle. bottle of barbecue sauce in barn, blew its lid off.

Yesterday evening Bobby was miserable. She has been digging at her but until it has raw spots. Been painting them with purple ( Blu-Kote ) I also have some drive itchy places, painting myself also. It does work, does not & hurt. At times it does bug her. Also been whacking off hair, can't comb or brush it out.
layed her head on me, layed across me & in general was saying daddy do something. Finally gave her an Advil, may not be good for her but seemed to help
Tick problem nothing like last year. Bobby 1 every 2/3 weeks. Riley 1/2 every few days. Dog has never had a tick nor did Kirby. Why????

Now the BS.
Took a young friend to Naco a little town on the border. Had a few beers & nice meal. Brought back a case of beer. As I started down the west side a beer can rolled across the road in front of me. Hy Patrol going the other way saw it. Wrote me a ticket. I showed him the case of beer, it was all there. After I left he found the can.
Went to court & he was there. Judge assumed he was there to prosecute. Nope he told the judge it was not my can. Case was dismissed.

Had a 73 Dodge Power Wagon it got me out of 2 tickets. Benson was well know as a speed trap. Got me on radar, just barely over the speed limit. Officer sent to give me a ticket, wanted to talk about 4wd & how I liked the truck, then sent me on my way, Going from Phoenix to CA, had 2 dirt bikes on a trailer. HP stopped me, he just wanted to talk about dirt bikes & my truck

Well nothing like being pulled over just to chat. I got pulled over once because my friend was drinking an old fashioned root beer in a brown bottle. The cop came up to the car saw the bottle and got an embarrassed look on his face. He made up some story about two kids causing trouble in a similar vehicle and let us go. I bet he thought he had us dead to rights for an open container...oh well.

Had a dog once that got those hot spots. The vet would give me a bottle of spray 8-10 buck range. Bottle would last all summer. He had a very thick coat and didn't shed till August. Said it was genetic. He would stand still for the treatment as it made it better in about a week.
