Good (????) Morning,
Well a baby step forward & 2 big steps backward. Will the problems ever end??
A couple of days ago I was so miserable I begged the lord to take me. Next day a little better.
Night before last, could not sleep. Around 3 AM a little fan quit working. Well the GFI had popped. It can't be reset, does it on its own, but who knows when. The fridge also quit, same circuit (?). Still dark go check circuit breakers. None popped. Come in things are working. Soon they quit again. (ridge on same circuit ? don't know Nothing in panned labeled.) Fridge has not moved for at least 20 years, does not want to move. At last got it out enough to see the plug. Near floor, have to get fridge out to get too it. Back is really mad by now. Wiggle it out & pull the plug. Extension cord from washer / drier plug to fridge. Now everything working. I'm beat & sick, time to lay down. Soon little fan quits, check fridge it has quit as well. Why not on same circuit as other stuff. It's hot, 109+ out side. Sure enough circuit breaker popped. All are 15 amp except mains. In barn have another panel with 20 amp breakers get 2 out, to replace 15's. Barn like an oven, go to panel, heat + sun says get the he!! out of here. Plug everything back up, so far its all working. later this AM go get new plug for kitchen (maybe) In the plan is to add 2 20 amps to panel & run a new circuit to fridge. WHY after 20 + years did all this quit??
Back & legs were on fire by the time I quit yesterday & I was sick. After a night of no sleep, I did sleep pretty well last night.
Back is still mad. It is very hard to live in near constant pain. When everything else is happy, floating rib is upset as is the right shoulder.
hope to get back to a happy note soon.

Got scanner printer working. Found another tractor book in scanner will send it to you some day.

Mr. Jim, we're pulling for ya! Have you checked the connections on the outlets. I know mine in the old house I had had a habit of loosening and causing the breaker to trip.

Just quickie. It has been a pretty good day mostly. Other than pain makes a person do stupid things & actually make things worse.
Yep going to check almost all electrical connections. Going to replace GFI with a new standard model.
If I can get a line from panel to other side of this place will put a new plug where it can be gotten to.
There are nice people in this world. Got a couple of plug ins, forgot potatoes, went on to DG store & picked up a few things. had talked to Doug at the mail box, need more $$ no have plenty with our floating $20, neither of us know who was the first to give it to the other. Got cash register at DG & was 1.85 $ short. I read 2 for the pride of I was wrong. Think he is the store manager. He took out his cc & paid the 1.85.
Stopped by & saw Jan ( Larry's sister) had taken 2 beers with me to share. Catch up on latest gossip. She sent me home with a care package. people seeds & some cat seeds her cats don't like. My mutts love them. Even have a little to share with Doug.
Spent the last couple of hours looking up different things on the net. Different types of wood finishing & so on.
Maybe the heat yesterday is why things went to he!! 110+ today 105/106. Maybe summer is here. :laughing: What ya think??? Down to 88 & may be lower when I go. Getting down to 70 in early AM. Try steaming corn on the cob & something else I can't think of at the moment. Not truly important anyway. Going to try deep frying something else. have a beer or 3.
Actually did not eat anything for a day & 1/2. Few chips & prunes. had some sower cream toast to get started. Will jump on the steamed stuff & steaming takes time, more time to drink some beers. :laughing::thumbsup:
Too much politics & reruns of reruns on TV.
Moving the fridge out sure made my right shoulder mad, Hand full of pain pills seems to have helped. get some food on my gut them try sleeping.
Got to get my courage up & call the VA. Just hate the system & BS. OH well life is not all roses.
remind me to tell you a story about grandad &* a barrel of beer. It was fun & it lasted for quite a while.

Well life goes on & on & on & on.
Not such a good day around here. Got GFI pulled out, then started to think about it. 1 GFI could not cause all the problems, All the plug ins on south east side of house gone, and a bunch more on the other side, even the washer & drier on the north east side, plugs gone.
That leaves 2 things that can be wrong. The actual wiring or the circuit breaker (S) in the main panel. All my test meters broken or in hiding. Breakers are all 15 amp, have some old 1's that are 20 amps, will stick them in in the early AM. Sure hope that cures the problem. If its the wiring then there is a real problem. It is possible to run a wire from the panel under the house & drill a hole in the wall to install a new plug in. Can be done, but a real pain in the Butt. May do that anyway later on.
Missed watering the weeds 1 day & it looks like 2 of them have died. Now the birds on the attack, not hummers, but the bug eating birds. Attacking the flowers & digging in the pots.
Really wanted some coffee, not beer. Didn't want hot cakes for first meal. So what did I get, yep. Hot cakes & beer. Not the best first thing in the AM. 2 Real large cakes, 1 was more than enough. Gave it all to bobby, she was not interested, until I put it out for the birds, then she cleaned everything real well.
Have extension cords running all over the house. To use a different thing, unplug what ever & plug up the other. Cord gets caught in my feet & pulled out.
Seems like most anything to make my life miserable. If it does not hurt, it itches, Nose runs, or feels like it a cigarette burn. I just want to start throwing things. Its enough to make the Pope cuss.
Of course all this happens when the $$$ are very, very short & payday is a long way off (2 weeks as of today.) Will hit Doug or Jan or both up for a few $$. Nice to have friends.
I have made a little progress, can plug in fan & micro. Hate cold coffee, so now that I've had enough coffee It can be heated.
M\ore later. Not going to wear out my welcome.

Jim reads like a possible ground wire is loose ,
Trailer houses or Modular homes for the Elete. are wired daisy chained and then only push in wire to plugs.
Should the kid or mentally challenged doing original installation or building be having a bad day like (having to work). failed to properly install then over time either the hot wire or the ground wire will come loose and all plugs after this one will fail. so the plug working may be where the wire is loose to next plug. if wire is discolored or charred of course shut off power then put wire to screw terminal and recheck.
if still bad do you have a extend block with red light to let you know power is available walk around and look which has power. then look at back of it.

Hi Folks,
May be a short post. Part of it depends on how my mood & typing ability goes.
Mystery solved, well maybe. Found a dead & all wet. Threw it out. Where did it come from. Well I now have a good idea. Some critter is dead in the swamp box, Man OH man does it stink, come close to tossing my lunch, so to speak. Question is how did it get from cooler to kitchen then die??? In the AM when the pads are a lot drier will pull one off & get the critter out of there.
Thanks to all of you on suggestions about the electric problems. Tomorrow will hit
Doug or Jan up for a few $$$ & hope Ace has a cheap meter of some kind. Or maybe the next day. Life is too short to waste time & energy on things like that.
On a little happier note found an old paper that is about Tombstone. Have scanned the main page & will post the picture. Date is 1997, been around for a while. Lots more stuff in side, but don't think its worth scanning.
Back to doom & gloom.
By all indicators I should be dead. Nearly all the folks around that have died, most were younger than I am. & I have missed some real opportunities to get dead. Lots of friends & people that I just know have kicked off. + Kirby & Cody being the latest. Not in any order, just as they come to mind (whats left of it.) A young lady that was a friend, got herself a Sportster , then moved up to a Heritage, Not sure why but she went away. A friend & I were working 1 day & his baby sister 5/6 got hit by a car, he didn't see it very well I made him stay on the job as I ran & got the ambulance & yell for someone to call the DR. Nothing he could do but the paper work. Made the people gathered to not let the car leave.
Above is what wrote last night. Then just went to bed.
New today,
So far have not done much, just a little something.
Checked cooler for dead critter, nope none there. Washed pads down a little. Should replace them, OH well.
Moved little fridge outside, It's plug is one of the dead ones. It needed defrosting any way.
Picked up a few of the tools left out by the cooler.
Put old motor in truck to sell at scrap yard.
Called Doug, guess he not home.
Fed birds
& though about things I should do.
Did figure out 2 places to get wire in form outside.. Porch light, Have to figure out how, without killing the light. 2 Wires to cooler not in use & they have their own circuit breaker.
Will not ever get back to death, just too depressing.
Time to lay down - Back acting up.

Guess summer is here. weather channel has today listed as a heat advisory & in a week it says it will be 114.
differnt ways of cooking. At least for me. First its the deep firer & then came steam.
Really nice outside on deck at midnight, slightly cool, only noise were coyotes in the distance & that did not last long.
Went out around 2AM & steamed a big fat Yam. A little slow, plenty of time to sip on a beer or 2. Lots of butter & a little salt. Could only eat 1/2 of it. Saved some for another time Read up on steam cooking & it is real healthy. Think I may try some meat or fish soon. Might try it with wine ( can't stand to drink it.)
If a person is not dreaming / planning you might as well give up. No reason to go on living. Just my way of thinking.
Plans & dreams. Worked on getting things ready to sell on E-Bay yesterday afternoon. Scanned a nice book from 1975, $10.95 at that time. Took pictures of a collectors model airplane kit. Did write ups on both of them. Will do some more today.
Going to price things so I can be fairly certain they will sell. Sell at a loos, no big deal, will never have a use for them & too old to be a collector. Other things to sell at local swap meets & maybe Craig's list.
Crooked cane is finished with the exception of a leather loop. Had several things to carry & it. Sure be a lot better to just hang it on my wrist the do a lot juggling.
Will write a letter to Dr. on pain pills & pain management. Constant pain is sure getting old. If I can get major pain taken care of, the minor pains will not bother me much. Back most all of it, & both shoulders were in a bad mood all day yesterday. Do not want to be hooked on pain pills. i think some kind of shots might work. had 1 in my shoulder about 40 years ago & held up until recently. Newer stuff should be better. I HOPE.
Need to get real serious about cleaning inside & out. Have been picking at a little at a time. More shelves to help get things organized. & so on.
1 Hour sleep last night, lay down for a while, hope to sleep & let back & RT shoulder settle down.
