nailing down a deal on a ct230 with a 6' backhoe. I ran a kubota L-3800 and didn't fit between the roll bar uprights when trying to use the hoe. Our BC dealer doesn't have a hoe mounted on anything to look at one. So my questions are

1 - are the roll bar uprights in the way ?

2 - are the hyds. as good or better than the kubota. I was very impressed with the kubota hyds. I know I'm not comparing apples here with the BC only being 30hp. We have a case 580 hoe and a PC-78 excavator so we know what we would like hyd. wise.

3 - do the 3pt lift arms stay attached when the hoe is mounted or do we need to remove them.

I have the Kioti twin, CK30hst, of the Bobcat CT230. I have a Kioti 7.5 footer on the tractor. It handles it without a problem. My 3pt arms stay on and I haven't found the rops a problem. Bobcat has their own bh so I can't comment on their hydraulics. Othes have mentioned that the BC fel seems stronger than the Kioti fel. Hopefully somebody that has one can give you first hand knowledge.

Rops is plenty high enough...3 point can stay on.
Front loader is a bit stronger than the Kioti.
Get the larger hoe (7-1/2) if you can afford it.
