I have a Taylor Way 766 with PTO pump. If you run the pump less than 540 rpm, do you lose any digging pressure, or just cycle time?

Cycle time and I'll bet it is alot smoother for a novice. It is for me. I run my rpm's at 1200-1500.

Hello tcarter1,
When I first got mine I put it on with the 3pt set up but it moved around so much I didn't try any digging til I finished a subframe, maybe your L2800 feels more secure than my deere 770 did?

To address your question I run my engine at 1500 to 2000rpms mostly at 1800,(Torin answered the pressure/cycle time question) and was able to control any jerkiness with practice.. good hoe, you'll be glad you didn't spend $2000.00(+) more on another brand.

Just cycle time. Unless the engine is so low it boggs out and dies. After it dies, you'll be short on both pressure and flow ;)

I run mine at about 1500 - 1700 RPMs when using my hoe, unless I come up against a real stubborn rock. For my tractor, keeping the RPM's on the low side makes the hoe a lot easier to control.
