Backhoe on the Toolcat

What do you all think about whether something like this would work on the Toolcat and how well?

I remember there's been some question about using a hydraulic unit but wondered if this was low tech enough to work. I know that you're not going to be tearing out any tree roots, but maybe digging a trench would be a possibility.

I have used a skid steer mounted backhoe and on CUT. The TC does have more front end weight than most skid steers and that would help a little. However, unless your ground is very loose or very sandy, I think that design will work poorly.

Radman, is there a skidsteer backhoe out there that you think would work okay?

There might be a time when that is the tool for the job, but in general I think you'll spend a lot of time moving your TC to move a small amount of material at a time.
