hi everyone, pete from Tasmania here. I am new to owning a tractor and have had a 70's international backhoe for the past few years. You blokes should have told me to buy it earlier, its been amazing.
I have lost transmission as it now coasts in neutral and i would be grateful for you pointing me in the right direction.
The machine is a 6t international backhoe with FEL. Is hydraulic driven with the separate fwd and reverse pedals and the machine stops right away if not touching the pedals. One gear lever next to the seat changes from high to low range. i was driving it down a small slope and changed from low into high, realising i needed more control i changed back into low and the machine just coasted in neutral. i can change into both high and low and no engagement.
i have full control of all hydraulics in the buckets. fluids are still at correct levels.
i really appreciate you takaing the time to reply and if i have missed a post somewhere else that you have covered, please let me know.
thanks heaps fellas.
