Maybe you'll feel this is an off the wall request but I'm wondering if anyone has built a blade attachment that would either take the place of a backhoe bucket or attach to the backhoe bucket. When we have a lot of snow here, I've got my favorite spots to pile (with a bank on the back side) & what happens is that as winter goes along I get the piles so high that I can't put any more there. What I do at this point is back into the bank & use the hoe bucket to push the pile which in turn moves it down over the bank & makes room for more. The long & short of it is that I thought I'd fabricate a 2'x4' plate maybe 1/4" thick to act as a blade because the bucket isn't really the answer. Has anyone done anything like this & if so, how much support (braces) do I need to design & if not, can you think of something better ?? Your thoughts ??
Thanks
Eric
