Kioti DK35
I am picking up a Kioti KB2375 backhoe for my DK35. The dealer is giving me my choice on any size bucket. What is the best "overall" size? I'm thinking that the 12" would be the best choice. Any other thoughts? Thanks! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I'd get something a little bigger... somewhere around a 16" to 18" bucket seems to serve a lot of jobs well. I think the 12" is a bit too small for many jobs - tight trenching would sure be nice with the 12" though. (Get both /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif)

I find the 16" has been pretty good for an all around bucket on my KB2365, and I also have a 12" for trenching and tighter in jobs. If I were you with that loader, I'd get the 16" if you don't want to buy both. John

The more you use the backhoe, the smaller the bucket gets.

I'd considered even getting a 9" since I figured I would be doing some trenching for power etc., but I'm glad I got the 12" -- it's right for my purposes. If I was digging more serious holes, it would take a very long time indeed.

A 10" or 12" is very good for trenching or for digging footings. If you want to move a lot of dirt for digging holes or for excavating damaged water lines, the 16" and larger is a better size to use. I started out with a 16" and the bought a 10".
