Back up camera to watch front end loader bucket or forks?

My info & review is in the $50 bucketcam thread...

My father in law broke the stick my cam was mounted on early this summer & I haven't bothered fixing it yet. The stick was just a test mount & didn't end up in the right spot for my pallet forks.

The camera itself is fine & we just unplugged it. Probably take me an hour to do up a new bracket to remount it better. I just didn't use it as much as I thought I would. I still stood up a lot to look at the fork tips rather than look at the screen. I'll probably fix it at some point, but its not high on my list.

I don't feel like I need a camera to tell me if the bucket is level, but it would be handy to see the exact placement of the bucket or grapple teeth, and a really big advantage when using my FEL-mounted hydraulic auger...without a camera, I cannot see exactly where the tip of the auger meets the ground.

I added one from RVS [rear view safety], just mounted on the bucket with a piece of 10" shelf bracket. I got the idea from 'waxman' with his Kubota mods thread.

I mounted a cam for using with my snowblower.
The screen came with 2 input jacks and I mounted the rear cam for the blower and experimented with the front hook up.
(The rear works great, and even down to -30 deg)*
For the front I used a strong magnet and short pole or shaft aiming down to see what goes into the bucket.(or to align the bucket forks)
Now that works just fine and when not needed the magnet and post can be stored anywhere that the magnet can grab onto.

Since I only experimented with the front mounting setup I do not have any pics, so sorry.

*I was concerned that cold would cause problems, but not so.

My EBay (china) screen and cam was under $60. delivered and I used another cam that I had to experiment with front setup.
The display had dual inputs with lots of switchable options making installation easy enough. (and I don't read Chinese)
I opted for a 7" screen as I wanted details. The back up guide lines were not all that accurate (meant for a car and not a snow blower) but I soon got used to visually adding enough to avoid hitting obstructions.
The good thing is no more sore neck.
Kinda cool to back up looking forward.

Anyone played with the cams on an open tractor? Are the screens visible in sunlight? Don't know why I need one but might be fun to play with.

My tractor is an open station with a camera and monitor. Bright sunlight will wash out the view without a sunshade, otherwise it works fine.

I have a CabCam with 2 cameras, one facing rear and one on the loader where I can see the tips of my pallet forks and also the attaching points for ease of switching between buckets, bale spear and pallet forks. Loader part works great but depending on what I am doing the rear cam cannot see through a dust cloud and although the cam has a shade, sun reflections can wash out the pic. The monitor has the ability to switch between 4 cameras or display 1, 2, or 4 at a time. The most use I have found for it, however, is the single cam on the loader.

How and where is your loader camera attached? Did you fabricate a mount or use a magnet or ???
Also, I presume that these are all wired cameras, right?

Mine is a weatherproof marine unit, cost about $100 if I remember & is noted somewhere in the $50 thread. At best its OK in bright sun. It does come with a shade that helps a bit. Not bad, but not great either.
