Back up alarm on HST

Anyone fathom how to rig a backup alarm on HST.
Not sure how the factory wires em on like Bobcats etc
i dont think I annoy my neighbors enough so a back up alarm would be nice LOL /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

I don't know if you have a backup light or rear work light that comes on when in reverse, but that might be an option for you to hook up to. My work light comes on in reverse, not very bright though. Not as bright if you just use the worklight alone. If no worklight than I would imagine there would have to be some sort of switch mounted to the pedal or maybe the linkage coming from the pedal or something mounted directly to the trans. We used to wire up backup alarms directly off of the reverse lights.

.....and seeing that there is no back-up lights, it would have to be set up with with a mechanical switch that trips power to a beeper when in reverse. Good idea though

wasnt sure on HST about a backup light unless theres already some switch present.
May look into a switch but it would have to have a long travel

Have the same idea for my CK20 gear drive but haven't figured it out yet /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif
As for the HST you could possibly mount a "momentary" push button switch, i.e horn button or "micro switch" like what is used on the throttle of large trucks with "jake brakes", under the rear of the foot pedal so when you push down for reverse it would contact the switch. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
