We never had color TV until I got out of HS. I never realized that the tailfeathers of the Peacock on the local station was in various shades. I didn't know that the Smirfs were blue until I watched them with my niece years later. Kermit was green?

Now I find myself watching old westerns on Youtube, which of course are in B&W. I'm just getting back to my roots.

I used to enjoy the old B&W westerns on Grit before we got rid of cable.

I found an old television when I was rather young; it was an old black and white with a dial, but I could get the Saturday morning cartoons so I thought I was hot ****. 😂

I get Grit TV on my rabbit ear 50 year old TV set....about 14 inch screen. Lot's of westerns that I have never seen still showing. It's my relaxing time in the evening....about 2 hours.

BTW.....don't have and don't want cable TV

Cheers,
Mike

I started out watching "Have Gun, will Travel. I watched every episode available, then started watching a few others. My favorite was "The Restless Gun", I've seen every episode I can find.

I like the early 30 minute Gunsmoke shows. They are recorded from OTA on my DVR.

Same here with color TV. I saw my first one in the Day Room while in 'the service'.

I am still impressed with the skill directors had in using shadows and shades of grey. Actually the B/W movies were well made. Of course, I'm not talking about the scripts :) Many of those were pretty hookie.
