Grading Back Blade

   / Back Blade #11
Anybody got pictures of guage wheels installed on a back blade? Seems like they would have to be casters. Where can you buy heavy duty casters? TSC has some big ones but they are not the type to use around dirt, they have the two plates with ball bearings in between. I wan't the kind that are on the front of a zero turn mower.

Do a search of old posts. Henro has built a very nice set. I have some on my backblade but they are an embarrasement to post a picture of. They do work though.

Another way is to go to an impement dealer and check the wheels on mowers etc. They should be available.

The deck casters on John Deer rear steer mowers look like they would work well but I bet they get a nice premium for them at the dealer. I will search the old posts thanks.

Egon,
THAT is a shame, sir. I, for one, have learned more from those that, like me, slam something together to get a job done than from those that grind, wirewheel, rinse, prime, paint, polish and buff. I'm impressed by ideas that are simple, cost little, work as hoped AND get a job done (or better). ... But, I DO understand your reluctance to post a pic ...
Cheers!
