A friend loaned me his Kubota B8200 HST to accomplish a sundry of tasks on my property. I don't think I've ever had this much fun with my clothes on; I already told him he'll have to fight me for it to get it back. Anyway, being the great neighbor he is, besides telling me to keep it for as long as I'd like, he won't accept anything in return except for a full tank. I'd like to do a few maintenance tasks, such as changing the oil, flush the cooling system, etc. Since he bought this tractor used, he doesn't have any manuals for it. My questions are:
1) I believe 10W-30 oid is what is specified for this tractor. What is the capacity?
2) There's a Fram oil filter currently installed, but I can't see the number without removing it. I'm not a big fan of Fram filters anyway; can someone provide me with the number of a Purolator, NAPA/Wix or other filter?
3) What is the capacity of the cooling system?
4) What are the recommended tire inflation pressures?
5) What kind of fluid does the hydraulic system use, and how/where would I check to see if there's an adequate amount? Are there filter(s)s for the hydraulics? If so, where is/are it/they? I'd imagine I'd need to go to a Kubota dealer for this filter, right?
6) What kind of oil do the axle differentials need?
7) Besides the above and the grease fittings, what other maintenance tasks would you recommend for this tractor? (the air filter has already been replaced).

Thanks very much.

You can find some manuals here that may help some.
Kubotabooks.com

I would go to the dealer and see if they have an owners manual. I would go by the hours on the machine and purchase the Kubota parts to do the maintenance and offer to help your neighbor do the service. I would fear something going wrong even if it was just a coincidence and ruining a friendship. I've had no issues doing the service on my tractor but I have heard of issues like getting air in the hydraulic system causing poor operation. If both of you are there you can double check each other. Keep in mind a full service like you are describing will require several hundred dollars in parts alone, but that is well worth having a good neighbor with a tractor he is willing to let you borrow. Just my opinion. By the way, you sound like a pretty good neighbor yourself.

Why not repay him like emmy71 says, with an owners manual. The dealer could order it by model number,or go online to say Messicks-they seem to have many manuals. He'll probably never get one for himself otherwise. He'll surely come to appreciate it.

PM me; I have a B8200HST, and manuals. The owners manual is cheap. The service maual is expensive, and does not cover the engine.

I'll get my manual from the garage and try to answer your questions...

Thank you, everyone. I was able to download a parts manual from the link you provided, Terry. I had looked into purchasing owner's and service manuals, but from Kubota they cost about $150.00, which is a little high for me. I'm exceedingly grateful for the use of the tractor, and I know I would have spent many times this if I were paying a rental fee, but this is still a little steep for me. That's why I posted here to get some of the specifications.

I looked on Messick's, and they had the owner's and service manuals for a total of 78.59 - sold. However, their shipping for this is 16.75; haven't they ever heard of media rate? This shouldn't cost any more than maybe 6.00. Are there any other sites that I could check on for these?

I think there's a Kubota dealer about 30 miles from here. I'll also check to see what they're charging. His radiator hoses are pretty tired also, so I'll probably need to go there anyway.

Thanks again, everyone.
