I have purchased a B7800. I haven't figured out how to set the hyd lift so the mower returns to the same height. I have read the operators manual. It seems when you raise the deck and lower it, I must go pass the point I have set for the mower to go down. Any ideas?
I purchased a B7800 a couple of years ago. If its like mine there is no ajustment. The mower is either up or down. The only way I have found to set it to the same height (if you are talkingabout the three point hitch) is with set chains. I'm not sure if the new 7800's have the adjustments. If the lever has numbers next to it,it can be adjusted. there is usually a bolt with a washer you can set and slide to the correct spot to stop the lever which will inturn stop it from lowering any further.

Just a question because I am not sure, but doesn't the MMM ride on the ground, with the height being set by the position of the casters? As compared to the suspended deck on the smaller BX, whose wheels only contact the ground occasionally?
IF so, the deck will always return to the same position when fully lowered, because the position is not set by the 3PH, but by the casters on the deck. Usually there are spacers that can be repositioned to set cutting height, buy raising of lowering the wheel with respect to the deck, by moving a spacer up or down on the caster pivot axle...
Hope this helps...and makes some sense too...as I don't have any experience with the larger B series MMMs... /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif
where the hyd lever is there is a set screw that should be a height adj. Haven't be able to get it to work...The dealer is lost on what is suppose to work...
the b7800 has a quarter inching valve - you can either quickly move the implement up/down or tap it for a 1/4" adjustment up/down each time. i have not found a way to exactly reposition the implement each time. i have not had as much difficulty with this as i originally thought - except for with the brushhog - i bent the toplink on my b7800 by having it slam into the brushhog when going too quickly into the down positon - likely also did not have adjusted properly and know the tension release on hydro was not set properly... i believe the 2910 has the system that can be set to return to the same position.
I've had my B7800 for a little over a year now and this is really my only complaint. The 1/4 inch valve doesn't give you the control of the standard position control valve. With the phd, disc harrow and pulverizer, it's really not an issue, but with the box blade and the bush hog it's a pain not having more precise control.
It's the price we pay (or didn't pay) for buying the "basic" version of the B2910/B3030.
