Kubota B7800
I've found several that say they fit Kubota tractors, but, drilling down into the details cannot find B7800 anywhere (save for some 'universal' seats with a plastic base and nutserts to olt it to the tractor).

Black Talon Highback Kubota Tractor Seat — Black, Model# 530000BK

Looks as if it might bolt on - but Northern Tools doesn't stock it in my store so I need to order it to discover if it will bolt up.

Anyone (with a B7800) know of a steel based seat replacement that does 'bolt right up?'

I believe I tried that Black Talon seat when I was trying to replace mine on a B2910. Check at TSC and Rural King. Pretty sure they carried it in the store. You might be able to pick one up locally and try it.

I ended up buying the only OEM seat that I could find from a dealer in Virginia. Don’t know why it’s so hard to get one to fit correctly on these particular tractors.

I know this answer because I put a Northern Tool seat on my B7800. I did a thread on it within the last two or three years. I don't have time right now but search for it and see if you can find.

The B7800 seat also fit my MX5100 and I think my M7040. The Northern Tool seat was a little over $100 and had the correct angle to keep you from slipping out of the seat.

OK, here's the correct seat and I think it's the one you selected. I called Northern Tool to look at my old order to confirm. Here it is:
The seat is in stock.

It fits like a glove but there is a 1" or so fitment hole for something else that I covered with a piece of plastic and screwed it into the provided holes. Other than that, it's bolt up and go. Took me all of five mins to install.

Search my old posts on this because it explains some other things you might find helpful.

Yep! That's teh one I went in to purchase three weeks ago. The clerk said that, If I applied for a Norther Tool CC I could get $70 of my first purchase of $100 but I had LOCKED my credit years ago and could not apply then. So I figured I'd see how difficult it would be to unlock my credit. Hd to find out which Credit reporting agency the Norther Tool Credit Card used to 'thaw' my credit (phone calls, several phone calls); contact Experian (phone calls, phone calls) , return to store to apply to learn "You must have a cell phone to apply in the store to get a text code" and went home to apply online to discover Experian had not unfrozen my credit and had to try another way - simpler and it worked.
I wanted to apply in the store so as to get the ($70) credit off the seat purchase but did not feel like driving back in case that went awry again. So applied online and they sent the card to the wrong address! Finally got teh card and tried to call teh store to order over the phone but "We can';t do that here," So, ordered it online and discovered the $70 comes in the form of a Gift Card which, I suspect, they will not let me apply to this purchase but to my "First Purchase" (over $100) after this one.

Retail price for the seat was $155 but I had a discount of $20, so $135 plus tax (on the 155 or 125 - will have to see the charge) but no shipping as I had it sent to the local store - it should take two weeks!

So, anyone thinking of making a $100 purchase at NT want to buy my gift card? (No rush, suspect it will take longer to get it than it did to get the CC!)

Geeze! what a run around for nothing.

And, I still don;t know for certain that it will bolt up or be any better than the factory seat I bought it to replace.

I'll bet you a brewski it bolts up. You got a good price.

There's also a round hole in it for some other application so I cut a circle from a heavy plastic laundry jug, drilled holes to match the threaded holes already there and that's the end of that problem.

$150 for a basic seat. I would look elsewhere.

Any updates on your seat?

Yes - I found a deal at Northern Tools and wound up getting a gift card for half the price of the seat - though it took some doing because I don't have a cell phone and I had locked my credit and it entailed getting a new Mastercard.

The seat fit various machines - but all I cared about was mine and it fit nicely and works fine. I wound up paying about $70 for the seat after all was said and done - but had to spend seventy-five dollars of the savings at Northern Tools - so oooo . . .
