Decided to go with the B7800 and received an intitial price of $11,700 for Turf tires and hydrastatic drive. I'm considering a FEL (LA402) which they quoted for $2950 with a 4 position valve. Still waiting to hear back from a few other dealer in our area. What kind of price should a be shooting for?

This is in line with what I paid. Wasn't alot of room to bargain due to demand and low financing - at least that was my experience. Best of luck.

In Houston TX area recent quotes I got are: $11895, $11950, $11810 and for the 402: $3095, $2950 & $2950.
I did find out there are different models of the 7800. The one with the folding ROPS has the mid pto standard and the one with the rigid ROPS does not. One dealer said the folding ROPS and mid pto are $200 each to add so be sure you are comparing the same tractor when you are shoping.

Boboro is correct. I have the folding ROPS which came with the Mid PTO and also came with Cruise Control. The original literature I received (January) said the folding ROPS and cruise was an option. When I went back later (March) I was told the folding ROPS was more or less standard in that that was what Kubota was producing most of.
Aside: Played with my 7800 yesterday. Definitely takes some getting used to. I got the toothbar - highly recommended for picking stuff up - large trees, brush, etc. Went to push some brush off my lawn, encountered some resistence, and then realized I had a 60" wide divot in the bucket - ouch! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif Luckily the wife wasn't looking! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif I'm having a blast! The tractor is already saving me a bunch of time. You're going to love it.

$15K for the B7800 4WD HSD and LA402 with R4's and a folding rops and mid pto is a good price. RFM 6' are about $1750.

That is a good price. I paid 13230 (turf tires, folding ROPS, Turf Tires, Mid PTO, Cruise, Rear Chains, Block Heater, Filled Rears with CaCl2), so backing out the options I paid about 12250 for the basic tractor. Paid 2850 for FEL. Hope this helps. Also picked up a Bush Hog Finish RM for 1750 and a 60" Rear Allied Snowblower for 1500.

I just picked up my b7800 with folding rops, mid pto, cruise control, and la 402 fel. i paid out the door 14,500. this is in northwest pa.
