eBay/Craigslist B7800 +LA402 on EBay

I was surfing EBay looking at tractor stuff and found:
B7800+ LA402+18 x 83 trailer+5' bush hog+5'HD box blade
with FREE SHIPPING for buy it now 4,600.US$
Only 5 hrs with full warrantee yet!

Located in Montreal (where I live), that's why I got digging.

I flagged EBay as for sure this was a fraud, guess they agreed the auction was pulled.

The motus operendi had all earmarks of 'fraud'

Now the 'seller' is emailing me to complete the transaction as I did show interest, and I guess that next he'd want a Western Union MO sent to Joe Blo off somewhere else.

The most frustrating aspect is that I have tried to contact local law enforcement in order to try a 'sting' to nab that *$*#%, but since it is Sunday, could I call back between 9-5 on Monday!

This is the second time this week I spot one of these scams on EBay, so watch it fellows.

Follow up:

Authorities took me about 3 hours over 2 days to finally arrive at the 'right place'.
That was (Mon 9-5 only) RCMP commercial crimes division, with lots of phone tag only to be led to Phone Busters.

Long and short of it is, they claim to not have funds and resourses to combat these internet international frauds.
They quoted juristictions, extradiction laws and high costs of transporting witnesses.
In sum total they simply compile a list to note similarities.

They did, however say that EBay is actually the most active and capable resourse in combatting these frauds.
In EBay's favor is the fact that they have a 'travelling road show' that meets with local authorities all over North America.
EBay was hosting a conferance shortly in Canada with RCMP etc to update the latest techniques.

I was told that main efforts for now is public education.
