Thanks to the TBN community for the education I have received over the past 18 months. I was even able to "educate" my dealer on some features, thanks to things I've learned here.
I just "signed on the dotted line" today...came away with an invoice/quote and $5,000 poorer (the deposit I gave). I should have the tractor within two weeks, and today I got to drive it around the lot and play a bit. The machine I drove is the one I will get (serial number on invoice). I love it already!
I knew going in that I would not get a bargain, but will (by reputation) get excellent service down the road. The dealer is Bingham Equipment in AZ, and they serve all of southern AZ for Kubota, New Holland, and Bobcat. Sure enough, it does not appear to be a bargain, but the details follow.
What we need most in this area is a good box blade (for rocks and caliche), so I plunked some $$ into making this the key attachment.
The prices for each item were all "adjusted" by some secret code the salesman knew (he's a former 17 year parts guy for this dealer), so the bottom line is all that means anything (and to me, as well).
This particular base machine had three options that I did not necessarily want, but can live with /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif: R4's, folding ROP's, and a mid-mount PTO.
In addition, they are now adding the following:
- LA402 FEL
- Kubota Quick Coupler for the LA402
- 54" bucket, with bolt-on toothbar
- pallet fork frame and 36" pallet forks for this quick coupler
- welding two grab hooks on the bucket
- canopy (hey the sun is intense out here)
- Gannon HK60L HD box blade, with hydraulically controlled scarifiers (750 lbs....good counter balance for the FEL, too)
- 3 rear hydraulic remotes, along with cylinders to create:
- top and tilt control
- scarifier control
- tractor delivered by salesman (60 miles)
- 50 hour service parts included (I deliver, and pay labor for the service)
This machine is smooth; I guess all the Kubotas are, but this is the first one I've operated.
Bottom line, including AZ'a 6.3% tax, is $21,800.00
