As I said in yesterdays post, I was going to visit my local dealer during his open house to see if his interest in bargaining would be any better than my previous visits.
I told him I had been shopping and that his earlier prices were higher than a dealer 90 mies west of here. we got to talking and I told him I liked the idea of keeping the business local and wanted him to make a sale he could live with. He came back with a price of $14,446 for a B7800 with the 402 loader and filled R4's delivered to my door. That was within $400 of the other dealers price. Before we were done, he agreed to do the 50 hour service for free and with pickup and delivery included.
So, he got the business and I got to keep my money locally with what I hope is a good deal?
Time to pick out some implements before they deliver on Tuesday. Need a 60" tiller, 60" box blade and a landscape rake. any suggestions?
The two tillers he had were Rotomec and Landpride. The Rotomec did not look very robust and of suspect quality, the Landpride was nice, but about $1800. I've got 3 acres of very hilly lawn to re-landscape and was wondering if there are any better alternatives to these two brands.
Cheers,
Dan
