Kubota b7800
Hello

I have a 2007 kubota b7800 that was burned up pretty toasty in a barn fire. It burned everything plastic, rubber, paint, etc. so as you can probably tell it would have probably been a better idea to just take it to the dump. Lol I was able to get the motor to run and the hydrostatic works also, but it was going to cost a arm and a leg to put it back together even if I retro fitted pretty much everything. I was able to round up a 2001 b2910 and I am almost ready to start my project taking two and trying to make one. I understand there are a lot off differences but also I understand they are somewhat the same. Most people might be thinking why waist your time, me I like doing stuff like this, and it makes it even better sense the b7800 only had 178 hours on it and a loader and a backhoe attatchment. So if anybody out there might have anymore knowledge about maybe were I might run in to some problems on this please give me your thoughts. :) I will try and post pictures from the beginning to the end once I get it started, thank again for looking. Nic

Looking forward to your project reports. You may be able to install the mid pto, 3ph and position control from the B2910 on the B7800.

What is wrong with the B2910? Personally I'd just use that and not worry about the B7800. Even if the B2910 had 2000+ hrs it would still probably be more reliable than the B7800 motor/trans/hydraulics that went through a fire.

b2910, b7800- same pto hp, engine (bore stroke), displacement, engine hp, rpms, torque, fluid capacities, clutch, tires, power steering, brakes, hydro tran, pump cap., lift force.

differs in 3ph control (b2910=position, b7800=1/4" valve), weight (b2910=1763lbs, b7800=1740), b2910 telescoping 3ph, b7800 turnbuckles.

like you are thinking, lots of parts should be interchangeable. good luck with your project and most important, enjoy it.
