B7610 will be arriving this afternoon

I just took delivery of my B7610 TLB this week. Haven't had a chance to use it much but I did mow a garlic field, move some composted manure and managed to get the hoe reinstalled!! I really love it though. Size is a big factor on my farm where spaces are small. So far it fits everywhere very nicely. May have some backhoe and loader work later this week to repair creek crossings after all this rain.

Well John, I like it a lot. I chose it over the BX. (the two different sizes that I was comparing) Was afraid that the 7610 would be to bog. So far, it's good. Better than I would have thought around the yard.

If I were comparing it with a 7800 though I would consider the 7800's 3 speed tranny seriously. I notice that I am changin between Low and High quite a bit. My dirt pile is about 250 ft from where I'm speading it. A little too far to creap along in low. I'm getting the dirt from an old garden, so I need the low gear to dig. But that'd be my only complaint really.

Wayne,

I would not worry about that. With my B2910, I use low to dig in and fill the bucket, but still shift to high if I am going to move the dirt very far.

So I doubt that not having the middle gear would be an issue in the case you speak of.

Then again, I usually keep the B2910 in mid range for normal use, and have found that I do miss not having a mid range on my BX2200. So I know what you mean, but really don't think it is a major issue in any way, shape or form... /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

congratulations, I am sure that you will love it. I have had mine since May or is it April. Can't remember. It is still early in the school year and I am a little brainless sometimes. But I have 68 hours on it. One thing to remember is that no matter how careful you are YOU WILL GET GREASE ON YOU!

Happy tractoring!
