I was checking my B7610 for a coolant leak and sure enough its the water pump. I still have a powertrain warranty but have been told the water pump is excluded. My question is this: It looks to me like if I take the radiator out it would not be too difficult to replace it myself. Has anyone out there replaced a water pump on a B7610 and is it something worth doing myself or should I take it to the dealer for this? I do have mechanical skills but they are with auto repair not tractors. Thanks for any replies I get back.

Check with your dealer, I believe you will be able to obtain a rebuild kit for this water pump. Repair is strait forward and requires no special skills. The kit is conciderably cheaper that replacing the pump.

Go for it. But, don't forget, we need photos of the operation.

Thanks everyone. I did get it off with a minimum of hassle. I'll call a dealer Monday and see if they have it in stock. Guess I should probably go ahead and replace the hoses while I'm at it since they're already off.
