B7610 rear wheels & hubs are on "inside out"?

I just purchased a B7610. The rear wheels and hubs are on "inside-out." By this, I mean the lugs are facing inward.

What is the reason for doing this? It doesn't appear to give it a wider tread, as the tires are only about an inch from the fendors?

The rear wheel hubs for your model are adjustable. There are different settings and some of them involve the hub being turned around. It sounds like the previous owner maybe wanted a narrow width. If you get a manual, which any dealer can order for you, it will explain this. Manuals aren't but maybe $30.00 I think.

The odd thing is, that the valve stems still face outward, like the wheels are designed to be mounted this way.

These are the 16.5 X 12" R4's.

Sound to me like R4's from a B7510DTN - the narrow model for landscapers. My B7510 had the ability to have the wheels flipped "dish in or dish out", and there are about five different pin holes in the rear axle shafts to move the wheels in or out. SOme positions you have to watch with turfs due to the tread with and hitting the MMM.

I have a shop (not owners) manual for my 7510 I sold. It's new, and I have the parts manuals for everything, too. The 7510 and 7610 are identical except for the engine only - all the rest is the same. I'll look and see to verify if it is for the 7610, which I am sure it is. PM me if you think you'd be interested. I'd consider letting it go fo the right price.

Yup, B7610 have a bunch of wheel settings. I'd illegaly send you a scan from my manual (bought from Messicks) but I'm on the road in Shelbyville, IN.

I've had my wheels set to "almost as wide as we can set 'em" for my BH.
