Hello All
Priced a 7610 today with 60"MMM and a front power angle grader blade. The dealer came in at $14500 delivered, no tax. I was hoping for $14-$14250. I might be able to get some manuals and oil out of him but probably not much more. Is the $14500 too much? I'm in Western PA. Sure would appreciate a few thoughts on this....It was a nice outfit and the dealership was extermely professional.......

I'd say you got a fair price. Figure anywhere from a rock-bottom $9,600 or so to about $10,600 for the basic tractor, depending on options (ROPS type, lights, alternator, tires, etc.), the mid-mount mower was probably in the $1,800 to $2,400 range, depending on what it is, and the hydraulics add significant cost to the blade, which also requires the sub-frame.

You didn't mention whether the tractor was new (likely, as it's a new model) or if the price included a front-end loader, which, at that price I assume was not. If the FEL was included and everything is new, you got the deal of the century.

If you didn't get the FEL and think you ever will, you might inquire as to how the tractor hydraulics are being set up for the blade. You don't want to have to re-do anything that expensive.

I'm also in W. PA. I have no idea about pricing for a blade, but about 2 months ago I bought my 7610 with 60" mmm, 352 loader and 3-pt weights for $15,100. I'm thinking that the loader was responsible for around $2500 of that.

Thanks so much for the advice. It is a new tractor. I think the blade with the "blade only" control is about $2500+ msrp. They told me the loader control would do the blade but not vice versa. I wonder if I could get them to do the loader control with the blade?? There are probably glitches in that idea though. I want the blade for a snow plow. I have been plowing a 1000 ft rough gravel drive for years with an old Allis. It has a rear blade and it's getting harder and harder to twist my neck around for any period of time. Plowing from the front would be like a dream come true!! I'm feeling somewhat positive about this deal and may well do it. If they would just go to $14250 I would bite. Or throw in some stuff.....??

$14,250 is low, I don't think you have a chance, given the blade price you mentioned. You'd be paying a good part of the FEL price by spec'ing its valves and controls, especially if you had to include the entire loader frame assembly (to which the valve and hydraulics mount ). You could avoid the blade/FEL hydraulic issue by getting a snowblower. You can always pick up a cheap rear blade if you still think you need one here and there, or use your old one if the size/weight is a good fit.

Outlander1,

Here's a recent discussion on the merits of a front blade. Sounds like you're on the right track. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Outlander,

Think about what you are saying.....If you want the machine, buy it. If $250 bucks breaks the deal for you, you might think about a more affordable machine such as a BX.

You are right. I definitely have a budget on this and it $14000. The 7610 at 14500 may be too much when it comes down to it. I may have to lower my sights and get the B7510. I'm pretty sure that would come in a bit cheaper. I'm presently trying to ascertain the exact difference(s) between the 7610 and the 7510 besides the 3HP.

Outlander,

Maybe you could save for a couple more weeks and get the 7610 if you are that close.....In my mind, "budgets" have to be somewhat flexible when you are talking about a major investment like a new tractor (+/- 2%). Whichever one you end up with you will be a happy man. They are both very capable machines....but I'd go bigger if there's any way you can swing it. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
