Hi all,

I recently moved and have seriously downsized my land. I have a 2005 B7610 HST with about 70 hours on it, with a Kubota Belly Mower and Woods RB60 Rear Blade. The tractor is in great shape with only a few minor scratches on it. I have had it on Craigslist for a bit and gotten a few nibbles but nothing solid. I also called the dealership I bought it from to see what they would give me to for it. I think their are trying to rip me off. What do you guys think a machine like that would go for and what's the best way to move it?

Thanks,
Dave

A lot of people will want a loader with that tractor and unfortunately, I do not believe they are made (LA302) any more. Not sure if a LA304 would fit. So you will have to find a buyer that is not interested in a loader, which will be more difficult. Check tractorhouse.com for some pricing guideance. They are generally high IMO though.

Dave,

Those units bring $10K but typically have a Front End Loader. Without a loader, your target audience is sooooo much smaller. No loader? Deduct $2000 or more.

You didn't say where you are located, as local markets do vary. You didn't say what you were asking, nor what the dealer offered in a wholesale buy back.

Remember, he's out the cash he pays you until he can peddle it and he won't bother doing any of this unless he can clear $1500-2000. They need to make this on used implements to bother tying up their money. If it doesn't sell, it will be peddled at an auction and he knows what it will net him.

Rule of thumb. If your Craigs ad isn't getting you calls, you are likely over priced. Sad, but true. Plus, guys will call just to see if you "forgot" to list the loader.

I would guess 5-8000 depending on location. You can buy a new BX1860 with a mower deck and loader valve for 10500 with zero percent for 60 months. The 1860 is a few less HP 18 versus 21.

I have to also agree with BP on the Craigslist pricing. I sold my 3940 in less than 2 weeks on Craiglist and the guy drove 3 hours to buy it. Most stuff priced right sells in less than a week. If it sells in less than 24 hours it was priced to move.

Guys,

Thanks for the information. The dealer offered me $6,000. I'm located in the Northern Virginia Area now but the tractor is still in WV (Eastern Pan Handle). I had an offer on Craigslist for $7,200 cash, but the buyer decided he wanted a bit more machine than my 7610. I have it listed on Craigslist now for $7,500, but still nothing. I'm thinking at this point it may just be worth taking the dealers offer to move the machine.

Thanks,
Dave

Part of the problem is you're essentially selling a mower as we go into winter. If you just want to get rid of it and be done, I'd let the dealer have it. If you could wait till spring and bring it to NOVA it will probably sell pretty quick.

Yes, it is fall and tractor's that mow are not going to fetch much interest. Agree that if you kept it until spring, it would move better.

That's a nice tractor, and for that price, it would be worth $7500. I'd hold fast. Patience is the key. Are you photo's glam shots? Delete your ad after 2 weeks. Refresh/re-write/re-do photos and re-post.

If you really need the cash, then you'll have to bite the bullet and let it go wholesale, but that's a shame. I honestly hope you don't have to just give it to the dealer for a song.

I just searched Craigs, Eastern Panhandle and found your listing, Dave.

Dude, no offense, but no photos? Honestly, that post isn't worthy of garnering a lot of attention.

Bp fick, no offense taken. I know. I have some pictures of the tractor, but they are only from my camera phone. The digital camera is still packed up from moving last week and was packed when I made the original listing. Thanks for the input. I'll add some photos now even though they are from a cell phone.

Thanks,
Dave

I second that about the pictures. It will attract a lot more attention if you have them plus the impression of a nice clean looking tractor will inspire people from several hours away to contact you. I too think that your tractor is worth $7500 you just have to wait until someone who is looking for one will find it. List the items that can be attached to the machine. Ie: will pull a 6' york rake, 6' rear blade, 5' box blade, can power post hole digger or 5' snow blower.

All the above are well within the capabilities of the B7610 - that is 24 HP by the way - and is a LOT MORE tractor then the BX1860 someone mentioned earlier.

Edit: when I sold my previous tractor - that was in near new condition - I got a lot of calls with low and lowball offers. I decided that I would sell it for what I want or keep it. It sold in a month.
