Kubota B2620
Dealer has priced them both to me for the exact same price. B7610 is rated at 24 engine HP and 18 PTO HP whereas the B2320 is rated at 23 engine HP and 17 PTO HP. My understanding is that the B2320 is the new series that replaces the older B7XXX series. The B2320 feels a little more open when sitting on it and it also has a 3 range HST drive as opposed to a 2 range HST drive on the B7610. I look forward to your observations, opinions, conclusions and advice. Thank you in advance. :p

I would definitely buy the 2320. The 7610, though a great tractor, is a leftover at this point. Personally, I really like the updates on the newer machine, such as the three range hydro and hydraulic valve under the seat. You won't miss the one or two HP.

+1 on what Ductape said. The loader on the B2320 lifts a little bit less than the one on the B7610, but all the improvements make choosing the newer model a better deal. Big difference in mower decks too if that is an issue.

Just received my new B2320 with FEL, MMM, last Friday. Really sweet. Dealer (Lano Equipment) was great to work with and has really gone beyond to make sure I am happy with the tractor. Going to finally get it dirty today as I have 5 months of horse manure to grade and remove.

For the same money I to would take the newer model. Couple of years from now if you decide to sell and you advertise a model no longer sold the potential buyer will usually think in terms of it being even older than it actually is since they can not see info on it on the Kubota web site. If they can go to site or dealer and see info on model being sold there's a sense of this being a newer still produced model. I know this isn't an actual big deal but what's actual and what's perceived are 2 different things. Don't think the HP difference will make much difference in actual use. Can't see any actual benefit to taking the older model unless a purchase price drop shows up.

So it sounds like I don't need to worry about the 1 HP less at the PTO or the 7 cubic inches less (1 HP) in the Engine. Thanks to all who have responded so far and I look forward to more opinions/advice. :p

I agree with the others. They would need to give you an incentive to buy the older B7610: $$$ or attachments :)

Those horsepower differences are trivial compared to the advantage of the 3 speed HST compared to the 2 speed. Get the 2320.

I'd buy the B2320 for sure;

  1. Narrower loader arms
  2. Bigger operator deck
  3. Integrated backhoe; should you want one
  4. Sloped hood for better visibility
  5. 3 speed HST-as Island Tractor suggested

After looking and sitting on the new B's I thought anyone would be crazy to buy an older designed one-like my B7800;)
