B7510 ($12400) vs JD4110 ($14300)

(1) We have a key shutoff they don't.
(2) We have an auto bleed system they don't.
(3)We have an independent pto system theirs is a dry pto clutch which requires to step on everytime you use the pto. Ours is egaged by pulling a button.
(4) Their treadle pedal system is not as operator friendly as ours.
(5) We have dual dry air elemnt they have single.
(6) We have a coolant recovery reservoir they don't.
(7) We have an air restriction indicator: they do not.
(8) We have an operator presence system for pto, transmission and starting system.
(9)Our mfwd is shift on the go: theirs require you to stop the tractor.
(10) Our joystick is integrated into the tractor, so you always have two remotes, even with loader off. Theirs is attached to the loader.
(11)Our operator station is flat& easier to work on for many hours theirs has more of a hump in the middle.
(12)our fenders & hood material is much more durable than the tin they use and its quieter and stays nicer looking longer.

Well wHat do you guys think is the john deere worth the extra $1,900. Oh he said better resell value for the john deere )</font>

This thread will certainly cause a fight. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif. So you think we bought Kubotas because we thought those were valid points and we are just dumb /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif? My answers point by point---
1. Kubotas have a keyed ignition and shutoff.
2. Kubotas do not all have the auto bleed but do have a cleaner running engine. Advantage Kubota.
3. Some like me will consider the clutch more durable and easier and more intutive to use and more convenient when one might want to momentarily stop the PTO--advantage Kubota.
4. The treadle system is far better than the illogical double pedal and much easier and more intutive to use. Big Advantage Kubota.
5. The Kubota B7500 I have seen and my 2410 does certainly have a double filter element--the JD dealer is lying or misinformed.
6. Coolant recovery--mine has never overheated--maybe their does--possible advantage Kubota.
7. I don't need an air restriction indicator because I clean the filter per manual--maybe a good thing--maybe not.
8. Operator presence system is dumb and the Kubota will not start unless the clutch is pushed in even on a hydro. I do not want anything more than that--DEFINITE HUGE ADVANTAGE Kubota /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif.
9. Shift on the go?--I could care less. No advantage either way.
10. Again the dealer is lying or misinforned, the much better single joy stick FEL control STAYS with the tractor except on the BX. Advantage Kubota.
11.What hump? I thought I saw a hump in their JD plastic floor panel. The Kubota panel is steel with a rubber mat. Advantage Kubota.
12. Oh baloney on the "tin" comment /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif. The Kubota is sheetmetal which is for more durable and repairable than JDs recycled green tinted plastic, Definite Advantage Kubota.

Further, in my opinion, the Kubota is better built, it is not OUTSOURCED, it is a intergral design, I prefer orange, I liked my dealer better, I saved thousands of dollars. I like mine better, that is why I bought it, if you like the Yanamar one better from JD you should get it, I am sure it will do fine for you. Good luck. J

without getting into the orange vs green bashing...

i was in a similar situation to you. i was debating between the b7610 and 4115. the deere was almost 3 grand more. yes it was a little bigger and had a few different options...but more or less they were far too similar for me to justify that kind of price difference.

same price...i would have gotten the deere. but in the end i decided to save the $$ and put it towards some implements of my choice.

would i have liked the deere?? sure. but...in the end i am just as happy with the kubota and have some extra $$ to boot. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

ride them both and decide for yourself which feels better to you. then decide which dealer you like best. after all that if you decide green..then is why you decided worth $1900??

only you can answer that one.

both machines will be very nice...good luck deciding. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

done rambling...

Hi Crown and all - I was reading through the messages and I found your reference to the plastic on the Deere's - When I first joined the board I recall a pretty long thread on the advantages and disadvantages of the metal hoods vs. the plastic hoods. I doubt anyone here saw my remarks from about 2 weeks ago - since I posted my remarks in the Deere owning/operating section - But I have to say the plastic hood is very tough. I've taken some very heavy hits on my hood, mostly while clearing and stacking brush and cut tree debris. I have to say this - most of the hits I've inflicted on the hood were caused by operator error and inexperience with the tractor. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif Two instances that clearly proved the materials durability were this - once I was using the loader to drop some 6' long cut-up trunks on my pile - well the trunk slid right down the pile onto my hood - I thought for sure it would crack it - nope, other than a scratch it just bounced off. The other instance was when a smaller tree got caught up in my loader arms - it was bending as I was backing up - when it got free it smacked the side of the hood so hard it could have easily broken a finger if it went the other way and got me instead. Again the plastic, or whatever the material is, took the hit and barely got a scratch out of it.

So basically all I'm trying to impart to the fellow comparing the two tractors is that plastic is a tough and viable option. It certainly has the advantage of being rust free /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Thanks,

Let me just add...

The joystick controller IS ATTACHED to the loader on the B Series Kubota and DOES NOT STAY with the loader when removed. I've heard this from so many JD dealers I am sick of it. I have a B7500, and they still want to argue with me. I think they confuse it with the BX Series. On the BX, the controller wll also stay with the BX trtactor IF you get the 4-Postion control valve (optional), otherwise it is removed with the loader.

Well they are wrong on the first one so do we need to look any further for creditability!

Some thing that has not been said so far is that the Kubota is built and manufactured by Kubota, whereas the Deere is outsourced and painted green to look like a Deere. I asked my local Deere dealer about this and after some heming and hawing he finaly admitted that Deere outsources to different companies for parts to build a compact and sub compact line of tractors. Stating that even if Yanmar is building it for Deere in this cycle it is not 100% Yanmar. You could still have a Yanmar body on a Mahindra axle and a Daedong loader, as an example. But as he said, " Do not let this bother you, its still a Deere." (I don't see how other than it is painted Green and if that is so I can paint any tractor green and call it a Deere.) Then the dealer said which model do you want, and I told the dealer, Thanks for the information, now I'll go buy the Kubota instead. Have a nice day. I was grateful for the information and I asked other dealers the same question, " Who builds your compact line of tractors?" Only Kubota said, We do, we build are own 100%. I was sold. John Kubota 7610 with FEL, 60" MMM, BH,rockrake, 5' PA plow.

You can include Branson/Century/Kukje and Kioti/Daedong in the "we build our own." Column.

Andre, another advantage to going with Kub rather than the Deere you're looking at is that for the price difference you can go to the next size up on the Kub (7610) and still have a little left for an implement like a nice box blade. I was looking between the two and decided on Kubota because it seemed like a better value and I was paying less for about the same tractor. I was initially looking at the JD2210 vs. the BX2230, then the JD4110 vs. B7510 and I ended up with a B7800, although it did cost a little more than the $ difference between the Kub 7510 and the 4110 but a couple thousan less than the comparable Deere. I've never even driven a Deere and of course have nothing against them but I am very happy with my Kubota and would have also been very happy with the B7510. From what I've heard though on this board and elsewhere, you can't go wrong with either. Hope this helps.

As far as the list of why this is better, if one product needs to twist facts and lie to bash another product, I'm not sure if I would want to deal with that dealer. He may twist facts and lie when it comes to fixing a warranty issue. My Deere dealer told me he didn't have time to talk to me when I did my shopping around, hence Kubota got the sale as the dealer took the time to talk with me and never once bashed another brand. In the end the machines are very equal and the dealer will probably play the spoiler roll and make the difference.

When I looked, I priced The JD4110 and the B7510. The price difference swung me. I drove both tractors. My dealers sells both. With the savings on the B7510 I could buy another attachment. The JD dealers need to look at the new literature for the 7510, they have made several improvements. My 7510 is suppose to be delivered today or tomorrow. Good luck with your choice.
