You expect some hammering and when you get it you seem offended and very comfident in the fact that you are bulletproof. Never said that...
I'm pretty sure they didn't put that switch there just to annoy you. People were probably hurt and then the idea of that seat SAFETY switch was born. I'm sure you have heard that a 1000 times on your job. "I didn't think it could happen to me." The next thing the guy knows that you are standing over him in full firefighter regalia trying to ease his pain.

Guess you should never leave the house then...lightening strike, being struck by a car, Random shooting, etc... Its more likely that one of those will get me before the chain of events that would need to occur to be run over due to my bypass safety switch.....



BTW do you know Ron Melcacon? (Dangerous Trailers.org. ) He had some interesting comments about trailers and unsafe towing practices. Seem like you and he are on the same page...

Thanks, Guys, for the help I guess I will be talking to the dealer about replacing the switch. I think if a company (or government) felt necessary to put this safety device there then I don't feel comfortable disabling it. Any other concerns I should be aware off?

Funny, The last time I had my tractor serviced, I made them aware I had to by pass the faulty switch....they never cared...and didn't even mention replaceing it...??
